No. PPC (pay per click) names the channel; CPC is its price metric. You run PPC campaigns and you pay a CPC for each click they get.

08What is the difference between max CPC and actual CPC?

Max CPC is the most you tell the platform you will pay. Actual CPC is what a click really costs, usually less, because you pay only enough to beat the next bidder's ad rank (Google Ads Help).

Actual vs max CPC

09How many clicks do I need to get a customer?

At the 2026 cross-industry average conversion rate of 8.18% (LocaliQ), roughly 12 clicks produce one enquiry. Your own conversion rate and close rate decide the real number.

10Is Facebook CPC cheaper than Google?

Per click, usually: Facebook traffic campaigns averaged $0.70 per link click in 2025 (LocaliQ) against a $5.42 Google search average in 2026. But search clicks carry buying intent, so cheaper clicks are not automatically cheaper customers.

11What is a break-even CPC?

The CPC at which a click stops paying for itself: profit per customer multiplied by conversion rate. £150 profit at a 5% conversion rate makes £7.50 the ceiling.

12Does a higher Quality Score lower CPC?

Yes, mechanically. Your actual CPC depends on the ad rank of the advertiser below you divided by your quality. Higher quality means you need less bid to hold the same position (Google Ads Help).
